Grippy Clippies Really Stay In

Now that it’s starting to get warm, I’ve been trying to put my daughter’s
hair up more. While she does have a lot of hair, it’s pretty thin, and so often
hair barrettes that I buy from local discount retailers don’t really hold her
hair for very long. In addition, she plays hard, running around the playground
and so we really need to use hair barrettes that will stay in.
The “Grippy Clippy” from Sugar and Spice Bows really
cling to her hair and stay in for a while!
The Grippy Clippy is the creation of mom Janet Beatty from
Ontario, Canada. Janet is the mom of two, and because her children have fine
hair, she saw the need to develop this type of clip. Grippy
Clippies are available in a few different types - regular hair bows,
birthday clips, and even Christening and flower girl clips! We tried a few of
the regular hair bows, and they really work! My daughter especially loved the
pink swiss dot pattern and I love how this style matches with so many of her
outfits.
Sugar and Spice Bows also sells headbands, pony O’s, clog
charms, and other great boutique items. You can find the Grippy
Clippy at http://www.sugarandspicebows.com/

Lucy and I had lots of fun at the Durham Parent show
this weekend (although note to the organizers: when you invite moms to
a baby show, expect them to bring their giant strollers AND MAKE THE
DAMN AISLES BIG ENOUGH!).
Our best deal was a brand new pair of Robeez for just $20, on sale at The Cuddly Bunny’s booth (also an Ugly Baby Clothes Contest sponsor). I also discovered a home grown version of the no slip barrett, from a Whitby mompreneur named Janet of Sugar and Spice Bows. The little cuties stayed put in Lucy’s hair for hours until, of course, Lucy realized they were there and yanked them out.
